We recently had the privilege of renovating a 1940 Clarence Mayhew home in Clarendon Heights. Our vision was to preserve the soul and mid-century sensibility of Mayhew’s design while restoring original details and updating it to reflect the owner’s modern style. We opened up the space to incorporate more of the sweeping views of San Francisco. We selected a subtle palette of blues and taupes to complement the sky and the Bay. We brought together vintage and custom modern pieces such as a gorgeous Christian Liaigre sofa and cocktail table in the living room, stunning hand-blown glass chandeliers by John Pomp in the stair hall and dining room, and a wonderful large chrome chandelier by Jean De Merry in the foyer. We’re excited to have been chosen to be a part of this talented team and to have given new life to this California classic.
